Eh, anime-style cel-shaded games have pretty much reached their "point of photorealism" by now, so to speak. There are certain games out that look like animation cels when paused, such as some of the newer Senran Kagura games (and those are on handhelds). In fact I prefer to buy anime-style games on the Vita and PS3 whenever possible, because the PS4 versions cost $10-$20 more and usually don't add any noteworthy graphical improvements. Often they tend to add advanced lighting effects that are counterproductive to achieving the anime look.
Needless to say, I was very disappointed that the PS3 version of Star Ocean 5 won't be coming west, and that Kingdom Hearts 2.8 isn't being developed for PS3. I do understand the reasons for the latter though (the new BBS chapter included in it is being made using KH3 technology).
That's cool that they announced a new character for Persona 5, though. Hopefully they'll announce at least 3 more in the future. Something else I found interesting in the article:
Siliconera wrote:The main characters will cause some trouble in the big city as the “Phantom Thieves of Hearts.” They say that those who receive letters of notice from the Phantom thieves go as far as confessing their own crimes, and reforming themselves.
The protagonist and his crew will target “corrupt adults” and steal their “corrupt hearts” in order to change the corrupt world.
This game officially needs its own world in Kingdom Hearts 3.
