I was poking around my copy of Volume 1 of the Japanese pre-Renewal DVDs (KIBA-1) to try and do screenshots of the menu's info screens, when I found a 1:15 video embedded in the VIDEO_TS.VOB file.

The thing is that normally said file should only contain the menu screens as individual frames, along with the Gainax logo animation that auto-plays when the disc is first inserted. But oddly enough, there is absolutely no way to access this hidden video using the menus!

Anyhow, here's a LINK to it on YouTube, and a transcription (plus crappy Google Translate "translation") of the telop slates therein:

What a cool find! I wonder why it can't be accessible through the menu...Could that have been a mistake on their end?

Either they forgot about it or they decided to not include it and they didn't bothered to delete it because they didn't think someone will find it. Happens all the time with videogames (assets, items, lines that are in the code but not present in the final game).

I wouldn't consider this as an ''easter egg'' but i am curious too if there are more.
There was a signature here. It's gone now....... - This is (not) a Silent Hill's reference
