I'm really into this. I basically love how we're living in an era of superhero and kaiju film resurgence; two of my favourite things.

If other iconic giant monsters includes creatures like Hedorah, King Ghidorah, Destoroyah and Mechagodzilla then I'm stoked. Even if it doesn't, I'm still stoked. Bring on the kaiju eiga renaissance.

Warner Brothers has the rights to do their versions of all the iconic Toho monsters. Also, in an interview somewhere director Gareth Edwards said the plan for Godzilla 2 is to basically be a melee between Godzilla & some of the classic kaijus with the candidates most likely being King Ghidorah, Rodan & maybe even Mothra.
Though I wouldn't be surprised if plans change for Godzilla 2 with Warner Brothers kicking off a "Kaiju Cinematic Universe". Hopefully Kong: Skull Island & Godzilla 2 are still allowed to function as their own movies & not end up tedious set-ups for the next movie in the universe. Flashbacks to Iron Man 2.
