Cowboy Bebop on BD

Hello

I'd like to know if the BD version of Cowboy Bebop is a good one in terms of pure image quality. I remember talks here that some pretty old anime would not translate well to BD because of the way the original cells were produced and whatnot. Apparently this would be an issue with NGE itself (again, I read it somewhere here if memory doesn't fail me) so I was wondering how visually good is Cowboy Bebop on BD (the Italian version is coming out soon and I think I'll have to reserve the fancy boxset or risk to miss it).

Thanks

Simply amazing.

I watched Cowboy Bebop for the first time in my life last September and it was the BD version too. I must say Sunrise did a very good job transferring this in high definition though it should be expected since they also did an amazing job with the BD version of Zeta Gundam, ZZ Gundam etc (meaning older animes).

You won't regret it. Although i remember some scenes that was put less work in them and looked a little out place compared to the rest but it was only 2 or 3 scenes in general.

Thanks for the first-hand experience.

Sounds like it's a go, but I'll be only happy to hear further from others.

I have the Japanese Blu-ray and the U.S. Blu-ray. Despite the usual exaggeration by fanatical anime Blu-ray weeaboos (who claim it looks like diarrhea), the U.S. release looks pretty great. If you have the cash for the JP release, it does look better, but not enough to make it worth your while unless you're a collector. So, yeah, get the U.S. release.

-the only English language novel actually being developed in parallel to its Japanese version involving a pan-human Soviet in a galactic struggle to survive and to export the communist utopia/revolution to all the down trodden alien class and race- one of the premise being that Khrushchev remains and has abandoned Lysenko stupidity

Got the Funimation Blu Ray a few days ago. Watching it in HD was like an entirely new experience for me.

Thanks for the feedback. I want to rewatch the series properly so I don't think a Japanese only version is good for me. I'll seriously think about the Italian one.
Thanks
