Watched this just now. While I know nothing about Ultraman, I had a lot of fun with this. The things you later see in works like Gunbuster, NGE, etc were fun, and the SciFi low-budget camp-value even better. :asuka_thumbsup:

Definitely recommend all Evageeks watch this, just to get an idea of how far Daicon came before they became GAINAX.

Watched this last night. No subs, so I couldn't tell what was going on. Didn't need to. Simply glorious.

Also, even in this Anno's directing/cinematography style is still really obvious. A lot of elements from Eva are visible here- ultra-low-budget AT Field for the win!
