I just started this show. If you dub an anime, I'd prefer you don't screw with the script. If you must screw with the script, do what Ghost Stories did instead of what Pokemon: The First Movie did.

Ghost Stories - come for the dub, stay for the dub.
It has no other merit, but is worth watching for the dub alone; after a while the jokes get a bit repetitive, but nevertheless a degree of freshness is sustained remarkably well.

I didn't recognize the title alone but from then from the description of the dub I knew immediately what it was. I was going to quote the "Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and savior" bit here (the bit I remember most from my short time with the series yeeears ago) but of course it was included in the funny clips.
We stopped watching it at the time because ... I don't know, I wasn't in the mood for watching an off-script comedy-oriented dub. Actually I think I just got tired of the schtick -- and I'm pretty sure it took just one episode.
