I wouldn't mind a live action sequence if they kept it short. I don't really care for the live action footage in EoE (or the deleted scene) but I like the idea, I just think it wasn't executed in the best manner. Maybe they could remake the school sequence from Episode 26 but with real actors or just have moment where the world around Shinji dips into different forms of animation and visual styles, one of which being live action footage of the real world.

I'll stand by what I said earlier in the thread. Does there really need to be live action? Anno's done it before, and it's probably time for something new. The live action sequence served a specific purpose in EoE, and I doubt he'd want to repeat that again for Shin.
