Can you post all of the pics (photos are cool), we've seen some scans from the artbook, but I don't think we have a complete list of what's actually in it.

Was the Asuka clear file also thrown in was it? It hasn't been mentioned as an extra.

Certain stores chains give you extra bonuses, you'll usually hear them referred to as "tokuten".

With Vol 13 I got a Rei mouse mat that was an extra from CDJapan.

Visited Kinokuniya on Sunday to pick up my copy and didn't get any extras.

Preordered the Asuka Jersey Ver. figure by Alter from CDJ and didn't any extras either. Was that mat mentioned as an extra previously? It's not now and the status is Out of print.

They've got with it now - March 12 is the new date for us.

The mat I mentioned was with Vol 13 two years ago...

Yes, not reading right since I was miffed at not getting anything with my Vol. 13 pickup either.

Essentially, I have never gotten any tokuten/privilege items from Kinokuniya US' SF brick and mortar store, so word of this occurring with other retailers is news to me.

I received my copy of the Japanese Premium Edition today! I wrote a review and included some pictures (no story spoilers; I only talked about the bonus items):

Neon Genesis Evangelion Volume 14 Premium Edition

So for those of you who were wondering about the quality of the extras, I hope that helps!

Thanks so much for the review! Fun to see all the extras in context. :) When I did that translation here, of course, I didn't know the booklet would be art book. There was another source at the time that mentioned it was going to be 16 pages, though.

Is the CD all Japanese music? For some reason I'd imagine it'd be a mix of British/Japanese/whoever else bands or singers...

Yeah, I wish there had been more music, and a greater variety. It's not that the music on the CD was bad, but it just... wasn't great. However, maybe it will grow on me with time.

I'm sure Sadamoto listens to other music than what was provided, but they would have had to get the rights from the various record labels, and it would have ended up being real mess in the end. As for the music itself, it was okay. Track 3 was the only one that stood out to me. I could see myself listening to this once in a great while, but I don't see it being added to, or replacing, any of the CDs I usually listen to when I write.

Of course, it's lovely to have the volume in hand!

The extras are disappointing compared with those that came with vol 13, though. The rack is fine if you have the full set, but I don't (in that format), so it's not a lot of use to me. The picture booklet is fine, though describing it as a sixteen-page effort, while true, is misleading when you see that the pictures are double-page spreads. I haven't listened to the CD yet; but I'm sure it will be pleasant to have. I wish the other cover image (the one my avi's from) had been included as a plate, though - but I'll get that on the Viz version (eventually).

It's just a little odd that they didn't pull out an extra stop for the end of the series, but there you go...

And anyway, the Premium edition only cost £6.50 plus £7 shipping! (The Viz is showing as £9.)

Sort of; but not in UK Apple store, and Amazon.com says "pricing information not available" and won't sell it.
