I would want Leslie Cheung to star in Wong Kar-Wai's Fallen Angels instead of Leon Lai.

Cough, cough.

Prometheus was the movie Ridley Scott wanted to make. No edits or changes were made against his will. He wanted to deviate from the xenomorph & do something tonally different himself. Prometheus is the movie he set out to make. Any flaws with the movie come form him. Watch the special features on the Bluray. You can see time & time again the writers having to bend the narrative & change things because Scott wanted to do something visually.
I clearly remember on the "Making Of" Documentary for Prometheus that the whole third act of the movie was changed late into production because Scott wanted the Prometheus ship to crash into the Space Jockey ship as it was lifting off.

Prometheus is the movie Ridley Scott wanted to make. Any issues you have with it should be taken up with Scott himself. Not the writers.

What would I change? Nothing.
Removing or changing one movie opens up a Pandora's box of who knows what. You erase Star Wars & a dozen movies I loved growing up would not exist.

- Timothy Dalton making a third and final Bond movie in 1992 instead of legal bullshit which stalled the franchise for 6 years.
Among the people who use the Internet, many are obtuse. Because they are locked in their rooms, they hang on to that vision which is spreading across the world. But this does not go beyond mere ‘data’. Data without analysis [thinking], which makes you think that you know everything. This complacency is nothing but a trap. Moreover, the sense of values that counters this notion is paralyzed by it.

And so we arrive at demagogy. - Hideaki Anno, 1996

I would have ended the terminator franchise after t2 so it would have a proper ending and wouldn't have became a cash cow. I woulda let james cameron direct alien 3 how he had intended, so aliens ending would actually have a purpose( hicks surviving, ripley rescuing newt)
Bong. James Bong. Bruce lee the way I kick it, Tiger Woods the way I hit it.-Blake ,Workaholics.

@evangeliongodmode

I'd rather have had Fincher direct the film HE wanted to make without getting fucked up the ass by Fox execs. You cannot blame Fincher for what happened to Alien 3.

I'm glad they killed off Hicks & Newt thus getting rid of Ripley's surrogate family.
This was a story that started with an alien raping a human being to propagate it's species. In no way should it have turned into "Ripley & Friends Vs. Bugs".

Definitely. In contrast to popular opinion, License to Kill is one of my favourite Bond films - I would have loved to have gotten another Dalton.

agreed
The bond films for me go something like this in terms of favoritism
1.) Sky fall
2.) Casino Royale
3.) Golden eye
4.) The world is not enough (mabye)
5.) License to kill
6.) The spy who loved me
7.) The living Daylights
8.) Live and let die

While going by sheer quality I think gold finger is probably #3

Well then, that Ridley Scott kept his original vision of the movie.

EDIT: I found an interview of Jon Spaihts (the original screenwriter of Prometheus) about his initial vision of the movie and the reason of why it was changed, he keeps it at a laconic "it came from the studio very high up; they were interested in doing something original and not one more franchise film.", without specifying who said "higher ups" are, but the rest of the interview shows that Ridley Scott was extremely enthusiast about creating new aliens, so I don't think he was part of the "higher ups".

http://www.empireonline.com/interviews/interview.asp?IID=1563
Fuck, that original medpod scene looked awesome!

So scratch what I just said, what I would had wanted was for the studio to had let Ridley Scott keep his original idea for Prometheus.

Also for those who don't want to read the whole script and to expand my answer to movieartman in the previous page, an article about eight of the more wallbanging moments of the movie actually explained in the original script:
http://filmschoolrejects.com/opinions/the-8-worst-parts-of-prometheus-explained-in-the-original-script-jsarg.php

And yes, originally they keep their helmets on!

If I could change one thing about current cinema is at some point I'd like there to be a 5-year moratorium on comic book movies. For 5 years no one can make a Batman movie, a Superman flick or anything else about a dude in a costume fighting evil.

Maybe then a little more diversity could be allowed to enter the fray.

While we're on that topic.

Last Airbender to not have been terrible, not have been directed by MNight Shyamalan, and to have had an all Asian or at least ethnic cast.

While we're at it, every role for an Asian dude or dudette that's ever been given to a white actor to have been given to a real Asian Actor or actress.

I mean seriously, is it too much to ask for ONE movie with an Asian superhero that isn't a frakin stereotype?

Just zero comic book movies for 5 years. No Batmans, no Marvels, no Kickasses. Nothing that is based on a popular or underground comic.

In my ideal world the second part of Ralph Bakshi's cartoon version of The Lord of the Rings would have been made.
