Absolutely a Shinji, hopefully an Asuka, and I'd like to have a Rei. (As I previously stated, seeing Kaworu would also be an interesting touch.)

Yeah, I definitely think Asuka is gonna be very prominent character in this one. In fact I think all the Children are going to be the main focus, except for Touji, I think he is still very much dead.

Well, Touji well well be alive; but I don't think Anno will have any place for him in the plot of Final - even though I've pictured him being around and tried to fill that gap

As for the preview: 8+2 or not? My inclination goes with not - it just doesn't feel right to me.

I think the idea is possible, but not necessarily plausible. It's something that could be, but I doubt it. As to Touji, I doubt he'd be in the preview, but I can't say for sure whether or not he'd be in FINAL until we have an idea of the direction in which it's going. (That could be never.)

It wouldn't be bad if we saw a glimpse of a grown up Toji in the preview; though I highly doubt it. I also doubt he'd even be in FINAL for some reason - but you never know.

I really think he's dead, in fact I think that's why Sakura is so nice to Shinji. Touji having known what kind of person Shinji is and having witnessed what Shinji goes through when piloting most likely told her to be kind to him. He becomes the Fourth Child to help in honor of his friend and at some point in time gives Sakura a speech about forgiving him, maybe as a last request.

Also the sequel theory idea I had, well more of a suspicion really. Why does it skip from 3rd Children to 5th Children? There's a simple answer for me.

No one has the official title of Fifth Child in NTE, it's supposed that Mari is the Fourth Girl since her assigned Eva was the Unit 05, and maybe Kaworu got the code Fifth Boy since he was the last to arrive, albeit by surprise.

Where do we comment when it's out? The first thread in the list seems to be for links and news only.
