I read a translation of that Italian web site about this. It looks like this new manga is not even remotely serious, especially when you see the expression on Gendo's face.

Personally I find it hilarious that in any spin-off where everything is fine, Gendo is revealed to be basically Stan Smith!

The English books seem to have stopped after just 2 releases and last I checked, there appeared to be 5 books in Japanese.

My guess is the English versions did not achieve the sort of popularity that would warrant translating and publishing the rest of the original work.
