Hey, how 'bout an IRC channel so we could blabber about in?
/me thinks that would be great fun!

I may use a real time chat format for some stuff in the future, but for now, I don't really think administering an IRC or AIM channel would be worth my time. And believe me, I've been on quite a few communities, and you would think it would be a great idea, but it often flops.

I may consider using a channel for scheduled discussion, Eva Jeopardy Trivia, possible staff openings, etc. If I come up with something that would require live chat, I'll certainly use it.

Oh you won't have to administrate it.

There could be different ops will op the channel.

I'll put some thought into it. As the site expands, there will be some definite room for it.

Have you decided upon anything yet Monkey? What's the worst that could happen, nobody shows up and it's empty? Nothing lost nothing gained.
