I think my new years resolution will be: GET A JOB

To everyone looking for a new job or to change jobs, good luck to you. I've been there and am also expecting a transition in 2014.

Most of my resolutions are economic.

1) Have steady, engaging, good paying work through the end of the year.
2) Stabilize my financial situation.
3) Make 10% more money this year than in 2013.
4) Be paid during my Japan trip in October.

The trip will be the first overseas one I've taken since 2008 and until then, all anime and Eva purchases will be scrutinized closely first before being made, I know what I'll be doing when I get over there.

Objective: Be awesome in school, you don't have much more left. It'll be the new year in 8 hours!

Happy new year guys

Despite what was a pretty bad winter, overall 2013's been great for me, best year in, well, years really. Especially ever since I took that month long break in the spring. It wasn't about EGF in particular or anything, but I really feel like during that time I was able to not only iron out all the kinks that had built up over the past five or so months, but also to find a trajectory for my life and discover a new perspective.

I think as I sit here on New Years Eve, this is the most comfortable I've been with not only where I'm going, but more importantly who I am since 2008, if not even earlier. And I really can't emphasize that enough, just as I can't emphasize how much a role EGF and the (admittedly only tangentially related at this point) Skype group have played in that. That's not to say it's been smooth sailing, there's been plenty of rough waves and the boat's almost flipped over a few times, and there are still certain things I don't feel comfortable telling you guys (ironically things that are far less weird than most of what you know about me), but the fact that I can talk about what I do and still feel accepted, well it's done an indescribable amount to help me move forward.

(And this is all just on a personal level, without even getting into how awesome 2013's been from a consumer/fan standpoint.)

And now 2014's looking to be an even better year, though it will have some major hurdles that I'm going to need to overcome very early. If I can do that, though, then I think next year I can hopefully sit here even more positive.

2013 fucking blew. Good riddance.

This year I discovered Eva and Madoka Magica, I watched an anime other than Sailor Moon! Personally I feel more mature, realized that I love my boyfriend more than anything, I already gave him a nickname Tuxedo Shinji-sama (my term coined by me), since he's a mix of Shinji and Tuxedo Mask. I started writing a Sailor Moon/Neon Genesis Evangelion crossover fanfic. Joined here because you guys are awesome. I made plenty of new friends this year too. Goals work on controlling my temper and thinking before I say things, find a job and take some college classes, watch Utena, Mawaru, Penguindrum, Princess Tutu, and Wedding Peach. Here's to a great new year! I hope for a Funimation redub of NGE and it's movies, a redub of all Sailor Moon (Sailor Stars, undubbed episodes, specials, movies, the whole 9 yards.), news on Final, so I can finally watch the Rebuild movies, and most importantly for me, please let there be some news on the new Sailor Moon anime.

2013 was a great year for me, hopefully 2014 will be just as good (although I'm pretty sure it's just going to be another 2012).

Tasty non-alcoholic drink my mom told me about years ago: mineral water with cranberry juice (or your fruit juice of choice). Just as tasty without the next day hangover!
