GRAZIE, Augustus! One of my favorite things is to hear from new readers! Originally, I thought to write a fan fic, but decided that a comic offered more appeal. So I kinda forced myself to improve my drawing as best I could.

Still plugging away on the Chapter. After working pretty much nonstop since December, I do feel the need to take an extended break. I'm finding myself quite easily distracted these last few weeks. But fear not, I believe you'll find it a fantastic chapter.

In the meantime, one of my distractions is this rather distracting bit of art featuring OC Kelly Wallis who is still waiting for her 'official' comic debut. I really like the look on her face here. It's totally different from her normal persona, but how many of us have different persona we don't often show.

I think it's gonna be worth the wait in my humble opinion. If I'm not careful, it can seem kinda like a retread of Chapter 12.

But I cut to the chase pretty quick and I think the struggle of Chapter 13 is unique to the struggle of Chapter 12. At least I hope you will all agree.

I have put together the final pages and the total page count is 75. However I want to offer some preview pics for Volume 3 at the end of this chapter. All I need is Misato's voice promising

At last, Chapter 13 is here and the dramatic conclusion of Volume 2. And the conclusion of the story arc which began with Unit 04 in Chapter 7.

As before, I LOVE feedback and comments, but remember to spoiler-guard them for those who haven't read yet. This chapter has some mega moments in it.

Man, apart from a few mistakes, this was perfect. With the music I was listening to... just dawwwwwwww! <3

And Media Player just seemed to know what I wanted to listen to. Sad music played in deep meaningful areas and happy music at the end! LeL.

I canne wait for Chapter 14 laddy!

I appreciate your unbridled enthusiasm! I might have some short chapterettes out later this summer/fall. I want to bring the whole Saburo thing to a head before the Vegas episode.

Not to sound paranoid, but what mistakes could I have fixed?

As for music, there's this song from Kare Kano that I kept listening to during the final scene. Thought it was perfect. Any way, glad you liked it!

Now this is a hell of a way to close out volume two. I won't say that you managed to pull an Empire Strikes Back, where the second installment in a trilogy is the best of the bunch, since volume one was really good (even down to the old, scratchy, somewhat amateurish art... yes, GrummanCat, I still love that art, even after seeing what you can do now!) and volume three hasn't even come out yet, but volume two definitely was very good. It had its rocky patches, and there were moments when I didn't want to go on... not because it was bad, but because I was scared of what would happen. In the end, though, I had to. To not know would be worse than to know and be saddened.

This was great. It really is better when you can read it all at once. The waits in between chapters were difficult; I believe I have said so before, but now I understand the feelings of Charles Dickens' fans in America who had to wait for the next ship from England to read the next installment, calling out across the water as soon as the ships were within earshot to ask if Little Nell was dead or not.



Volume three looks like it will be awesome. Keep it rolling. Good luck in the new year!

Maru- THANKS! Interesting analogy about Dickens. I wish I could spew it out even faster, but doing the 103-page Chapter 12 in only 5 weeks left me burned out. There were times during Chapter 13 that I was running on fumes.

Indeed, everything over the whole course of the comic has been leading up to this, and in fact, is leading straight through this to the distant future I have already written in my mind. That is to say that I can tell you exactly how it all ends and what happens to who etc. But of course.... ;)
