Thanks Ornette, and 'OLY CRAP, did I read it wrong? It said it doesn't expire until October.

I don't really even see the point in a CR membership. They dont even have all the newest shows in their simulcast and they only benefit to subscribing is not having to watch ads and being able to watch the most current episode. It's not like you even have access to more anime if you subscribe either.
My truth will be my own and not the one they gave me.

You can watch in 1080/720 with a membership, as opposed to the worse than SD (approx 640x320 resolution) for free.

When you watch upwards of 10-15 shows per season, not having to wait a week is well worth the measily $7-8 a month.

It supports the industry, and is more convenient than fansubs. I can use it through my Roku box. For those of us that can afford to spend $8 a month or whatever (I just bought a full year's subscription at a significant discount), it's a no-brainer. It's cheaper for me to buy the subscription for a year than to buy a single disc of Madoka, which is just one of the shows in their library.

(Would I rather have the Blu-rays? Sure, but I haven't seen the show yet, and that's a lot of money).

And they have far more simulcast shows than I actually have time to follow.

Thanks for the pass, Ornette!

This actually seems kind of nice, maybe I'll register for premium.
EDIT: Nope, looks like because of licensing issues there is an abysmally small amount of shows actually available to me. Shame.

Not sure why there's an abysmal amount of available shows, usually more than half of a season's new shows end up on Crunchy, such a large percentage that I don't even need to torrent shows anymore. As for older stuff, things come and go, up to the end of last year they had all of Zeta, and (I think) they still have all of Galaxy Express 999. But all of the old shows you can watch for free, just in a lower bitrate and with commercials.

It depends where you are in the world which shows get licensed -- just because a series streams in the US doesn't mean it's available (proxy hackery aside) to everyone here.

This is my first time doing this, so let's see if I did this right.

Edit: Guess I didn't do it right. Let's try again.
