Yeah, that's the impression I got as well. The circular bubble closes around Eva-13 instead of pushing the Wunder away, which suggests it was meant to entrap it instead of protect it.

Wow, so they were planing trap Evangelion 13? Shit, the AAA Wunder is one impressive piece of arsenal and Misato is one hell of a Captain! The new things you learn everyday and the visuals you miss out on if you don't pay attention to what's going on in Evangelion. This especially true for Evangelion 3.33!

I just could not identify what those wings are made: crystallized LCL?

Just a random thought, but 13 reminded me of MP Eva with its white body, LoL and wings.

For some reason, I thought that the globe was the Wunder pushing it's ATF out to one concentrated point to slice Unit-13 down the middle. I was wrong, but it's still a cool idea.

Does Eva 13 have an AT field? I ask because once the pods were destroyed, it didn't even put up at AT field at any point, even when the at field piercing ammo was fired at it, sure it would've pierced, but you would've at least seen it get pierced, instead eva 13 seems to just absorb all punishment (literally)

Actually, they would just be called the RS; the hopper would be where they come from. As to RS, I have no idea. Rotational Shield, perhaps?

they are called rs hopper as shown on Shinji and kaworu display after Asuka destroys them.
worthy noting this is the first time we se atf used offensively, god eva 01 shenanigans not withstanding.

The Hopper Units might have done that whilst stored in the shoulder pylons, or it might have been the Mark.09 covering up for Eva-13's inadequacies by lending a hand. Note that Eva-13 fails to demonstrate such amazing ATF use after the destruction of the hoppers, as it has to grab Eva-02's halberd with its bare hands, and doesn't use the ATF to attack the Wunder or block the Wunder's lasers.

S2 Engines are not mentioned in NME so far, but yeah it obviously has something similar to it as 01 has at the moment i assume.
