Happy Thanksgiving Amerikans!

*Canadian voodoo pagan thanksgiving*
He was warrior and mystic, ogre and saint, the fox and the innocent, chivalrous, ruthless, less than a god, more than a man. There is no measuring Muad'Dib's motives by ordinary standards. In the moment of his triumph, he saw the death prepared for him, yet he accepted the treachery. Can you say he did this out of a sense of justice? Whose justice, then? Remember, we speak now of the Muad'Dib who ordered battle drums made from his enemies' skins, the Muad'Dib who denied the conventions of his ducal past with a wave of the hand, saying merely: "I am the Kwisatz Haderach. That is reason enough."

Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, gravy, green been casserole, cranberry relish, fresh dinner rolls, olives, strawberry ice cream jello salad, pecan pie (because I hate pumpkin pie), and a nice glass of wine. :D

I don't think I am going to eat again for a week.

But at least I will have the energy now to go to Best Buy early tomorrow morning to cash in on a couple of the deals.

I am trapped in Canada, finals are a week away and the only dinner I'm getting is two packs of instant ramen instead of one.

Happy Thanksgiving, monkeyhumpers.

One of my american friends' dad flew over to see him today, for thanksgiving. He was very happy about this.

Yay. American Autumntime Feast-Ritual Day!

I had rice, vegetables, and some of the nastiest soy chicken on the planet. (We ordered the wrong brand once and now we have to suffer the consequences.)

And you don't literally sacrifice the kiddo. You just sell your kid to rich old pedophile kings at auction.

I was with my relatives for once during thanksgiving. We all had to take a turn at the table saying we were thankful for being together, having food, and not being directly affected by war...which I was thankful for, but what I really wanted to say was:

I'm thankful that the native peoples of this country helped feed the pilgrims long enough so that we could establish a foothold for european imperialism and turn around and conquer said native peoples all for a brave new world of free market capitalism.

So eat up you bastards...

The evil part to that is that the natives that helped them only did it because the new people promised to help them get rid of some other natives in the area. Good ol' human nature
