Who's your favorite Eva character?

I personally like Shinji the most, right next to Kaworu. I guess it's because Shinji is the main character of the whole series, and I can see a little of myself in him. Kaworu on the other hand, he's next to Shinji because of his role in the manga, and not to mention how gorgeous he is. IthinkI'mtheonlyonethatlikesEMKmorethanAniKaworuyes?

I loved Misato - very strong and got the job done despite of her deep emotional wounds.

And Yes, I loved Shinji...I felt he was a little much in EoE when Misato is dragging him around and he is still sulking...but at this point, we are getting to the very bottom of his character before the impact. (and yes I loved the original (2) episodes and how Shinji dealt with it, so go Shinji!)

Kaworu - nicest character in the entire series and the shortest shelf life...a tragedy in itself.

And Asuka - the little sister I never had...

But I must say that I did love almost every character both good and bad. - They just played it so right.

Without a Doubt: Shinji Ikari. Hell, might even be my favorite character of all fiction.

Asuka, Rei and Kaworu come close as well.

After reading Re-Take... I've fallen for Rei.

Strange I know. I use to be a very big Asuka fan but after reading Re-Take... I saw exactly how much her world was affected by Shinji (and dear I say it, Rei needed him more then he needed her!?). Of course Re-Take really isn't part of the series but it affected my views enough.

When I first saw the series as a kid the character I related to the most (and who thus became my favorite) was Shinji, although I wanted to be Kaji. 'Twas the same with my first viewing of Star Wars: I felt like Luke Skywalker, but I wanted to be Han Solo.

Kensuke, because he has the same hobbies that I did at that age.

Well, I can't decide on one character since I like a lot of them almost equally. I'll just name 5:

Rei in Rebuild - Probably my most favorite. She did a better job at trying to live a human life... for someone who is thrust into Eva, doing things because she is commanded to. She still has that mystery that she had in the original series which is attractive. And I don't know why. Maybe it's the questions that surround her.

Asuka Soryu - Well, an in-depth discussion about Soryu swayed my opinion. But... I find it hard to explain (maybe because I'm posting this at 5 in the morning and I'm really sleepy). It's probably how she just carries on with life.

Mari - She's just awesome. Heh.

Shinji in Rebuild - A little bit of stability on his character goes a long way. Although when I think about it, he did almost doom mankind for Rei.

Pen Pen - I wish I had a pet like him.

Mari, hands down. She's just as crazy as me and we're just as meganekko.

She also opened a can of whoop-ass on Zeruel.

I have 3 favourite characters, Shinji, Rei and Misato, not really a deep reason why, they are just awesome

Asuka, they just did so well in giving her a back story and tryin to make you feel sorry for by the end of the series.

Vice Commander Fuyutsuki/kaji - awesome characters always calm and they know wat they r doin

Misato, of course! In and out of battle, she's a tough chick and easily one of the more reasonable people in the cast since, unlike the other characters, she's perfectly willing to just talk about her neuroses.

Rei, then Kaworu.

Asuka (Soryu of course, Shikinami can go rot in hell), followed by Shinji with HMs to Kaji and Kaworu.

Asuka hands down, with favor towards Soryu than Shikinami. I have a soft spot for characters who are unlikeable at first, but as you progress, you'll see why they're like that in the first place. You'll know that her bad attitude is just a defense mechanism for the things she's been through. I guess I like characters that need to be 'redeemed,' which is why Soryu is my favorite character there. Shikinami seems to be softer and leading to just another tsundere rather than a girl with severe issues.

Kaworu comes in next because he's intriguing. Why would an Angel like him care about the fate of the world anyway?

A tie betwen Rei and Shinji.

my fav would have to be rei she the one that got me hooked on evangelion in the first place

Shogoki (providing you consider the Eva to be characters) even if he behaves like an angry monkey.
