Seriously though, keep on with what you are doing. As saddening and frustrating as it may be to watch the cast descend into madness and despair, I am used to such things; I'm a "Song of Ice and Fire" fan. Watching characters suffer and die is something I have grown accustomed to.
I am curious to see what happens with Kaji, particularly if it's anything like the role I imagined for him; it probably isn't, but it would be really funny if it were.

the burns seem to be superficial enough that they didn't have to wrap up her face for a long period of time, since when Kaworu comes to pay a visit, it looks like her face is uncovered. I'm no EMT or anything, but my impression is that in the case of serious burn victims, their skin or what's left of it is usually kept bandaged for a long period of time to promote healing and proper regulation of heat; burn victims cannot regulate temperature through burned skin, and one of the most common forms of death among burn victims (those that the burns do not kill outright) is shock from being unable to regulate their body's temperature. Of course that wouldn't have been the case with Asuka, since only parts of her face and legs were burned, but I imagine that the same principle would have been applied regardless.
But yeah, suffice to say that whole thing made me very, very nervous, and I am looking forward to getting an actual answer. I miss Asuka already.

I know that this is an Original Flavor Eva fic, and that I should be expecting characters to be beaten and bloodied and broken before the end, but I have to ask... is there even a chance of a "good end"? And I don't mean just an open end that doesn't completely suck, like EoE had, but an actual good end?

Just read Chapter 8. As always your work is splendid, but here I found you've used drawings for earlier chapters and the backstory to weave a atmosphere that succeeds in giving the reader an insight into Shinji's world and into Kaworu's history. Well done.

Thank you! For the page where all of Shinji's memories are squeezed onto a single page I was inspired by the works of Masakazu Katsura. In particular, I's, one of my favorite manga love stories ever.
Oh nice. I liked it a lot... which reminds me, about the inclusion of the LOTR screencap - I get that they were watching it on TV, , but as it's live-tv in a drawn-comic montage I found it distracted me from the story - not a complaint, but just an observation.
Oh, and I kind of chuckled at Gendo's face on Page 3 or so... I know it wasn't meant to look funny, but it kinda did.
Look forward to the nuditysexuality story in the upcoming chapters.

No no no no, it's uh, that uh, I want people to think that there are more reasons than uh, uh... uhh.... I like the promiscuity. It adds a flavour to the story, that uh, I like reading it for. In particular, I am referring to the teasing and/or banter (not necessarily the couples banter, but also the 'sex' banter between the pilots). I look forward to seeing it again, but of course, I respect that you'll include it where you feel it is appropriate to the story.

So far, I just have the chapter outlined. This damn hentai chapter I'm working on is dragging. It's ridiculous to have writer's block when working on a HENTAI comic! Got through the block yesterday and finally finished the script. Now most of the art is done and I hope to have it out of the way within the next couple of weeks. I have to say it is hardcore, so it will probably not be available on smackjeeves.
The first half of chapter 9 is about other characters. I'm using the Asuka down time to shed some more light on the Kaworu-Rei-Saburo mess.

As for the hentai story and Chapter 9. Ugh... I can't hide my frustration with the hentai story anymore. I will get it done and soon, but I surprisingly don't like doing it. For some reason, I'd really rather be doing the regular story but oh well. I know people are looking forward to it, and I won't disappoint, but I'm surprised how I just don't feel like it sometimes.
And I will officially be getting to chapter 9 right after the Olympics!
