Its not as if its something official, its just a essential a fan-video.

Its not as if its *that* bad to get angry about. Its not terrible but neither if its great.

Most of the grief was probably from trolls rather than youre average evafan as I suspect they would be pretty 'meh' about the whole thing.

Its like (but not quite as bad) as when Amanda Winn Lee was driven off here in a matter of hours by people being weapons grade numpties.

No, it's the "remix isn't great and video much less so" thing that's making them mad. Now, they don't really have any reason to be mad -- the impact on the franchise is about nil and it doesn't affect anyone who doesn't care to seek it out -- and they're expressing their criticism extremely poorly, but those are separate issues. Being dicks about it doesn't mean people dislike the new versions just because they're new.

I was just plain disappointed. I was hoping for something that had a bit more 'oomph'. The 'dubstep' remix in particular I found rather weedy. I know this is on a smaller budget than the original with it's full choir and session musicians and all, but even so...

Yeah, you can actually do some pretty amazing things with synth music programs. This remix wasn't one of them. It actually kinda surprised me since she's done better when collaborating with her band members of iCon Electrobox.

It's the case for a lot of them. You've seen the "original is always better" argument, right? Plenty of fans for every series have this mindset. I'm not saying that's how it is for every fan, but for many of them it is. The wording "this is the worst remix ever" is a bit over exaggerated.

I've seen precious little of that around here, though. Most of the criticisms here have been pretty articulate.

think somebody had already shown her a link on youtube or something iirc. her voice sounds different now - prolly coz of age and stuff but i can pretty much picture her in my head singing the song.

hoping for a better version though coz the dubstep one was...
