well for now, I want it to just be. It takes sooo much time for them to release each part of the RoE.
When I think how old I was when the whole story started... ;-/ _________________ "Images, quotes, and code tags are not allowed in Signatures."

There is something's I don't get, I know it sounds like a stupid question but in the Next Time Preview there was one part where Kaji was pointing yelling at someone and Gendo walking with some other NERV officials in the cold, what's up with those? Also I Wonder what Kajis yelling at. |

So the entire Tokyo 3 was blown up in an X pattern. I'm pretty excited to see where the characters end up now, as the whole original series was pretty locked in that one location. Now that it doesn't exist we can ship them off practically anywhere. I want to see more of the post Third Impact world, like a modern non-fortress city or more areas completely destroyed by war/sea levels. The underwater city in the boat episode was a nice hint.
SEELE also has great potential in Rebuild to become less plot magic and more sinister organization. With the streamlined plot, I expect to see at least one member of SEELE in the flesh. |

I get the feeling that there are going to be a whole lot of new characters thrown into the mix of this one. It seems like since Tokyo's a complete wreck, so the pilots are going to have to go internationally or something.
It'd be cool to see what the rest of the world looks like in all of this. _________________ In Heaven everything is fine.

One of the things I felt was under explored even in the original was that while the story concerned this post apocalyptic global effort, most of it happened in Tokyo 3, from a purely Japanese perspective. Tokyo 3 got wrecked up some, but it was the most technologically rich portion of the world since Nerv poured so many resources into it. You only ever saw bits and pieces of the outside world, which had succumbed to poverty and decay.
I think it'd be a good opportunity to show Nerv through the eyes of the other nations involved. Maybe even show portions of the world that have fallen apart while Tokyo 3 got most of the money. One of the undercurrents was the outward hostility and resentment from these nations because of Tokyo 3's special place in the project. Since Eva went rogue, maybe these other political elements take this as an opportunity to make their move.
Edit: I realize that this is likely because of Anno's somewhat nationalistic bent. Despite the story involving the UN and humanity uniting against a common threat with undercurrents of international espionage, all principle characters (besides the Seele members) are Japanese. Even Asuka -the token foreign character- is half Japanese after all. _________________ Why do they even want the Loc-Nar? All it does is melt you. |

I Don't Want Kaji to Die, he was the only likeable main character in the anime, next to Misato, Hikari, Toji and Kensuke, the only male who wasn't boring and cold. but at least we'll get to see some character development on kaji for 3.0. can you imagine what it would sound like if kaji was yelling like that? :P |

Which only serves to illustrate that he wrecked the landscape BIG TIME...
Somewhere in there, Fuyutsuki is in tears, redrawing the maps once again (Then again, did the Rebuild cast even engage in mayor Landscape-wrecking so far...? RE!Fuyu would certainly still lament, given his "mother earth" comment. )
As far as Tokyo-3 goes, it's safe to assume that it will be in something comparable to its post ep 23 state... Still, I give Misato's appartment a 50/50 survival chance since it survived last time. _________________ Et il est un jour arrivé

Well...Rei Ayanami is definitely different this time around, the fact that there are 4 Rei clones surviving outside of the tank, peaks my interest. But, I really doubt she'll leave Unit-01, and we're going to see the appearance of Rei III, Rei IV, Rei V, and Rei VI, each a fragment of a whole soul.
Edit: It says Tokyo-3 in the preview has been abandoned. |
