Does this not scream "Angel" at you guys? Apparently it's a "humanoid fish" that people decided to call "Ningen" because it, well, looks like a human. Just 60 feet long, underwater, and really freaky looking.

And who knows if it's real...

It's a Cryptid, which is something of an urban legend monster. Examples include Big Foot, the Loch Ness Monster, and the Slender Man. So you don't need to worry about this thing existing...

At least not until we glimpse upon what horrorterrors lie in the darkest depths of the ocean, to which we will likely discover something worse.

Slenderman isn't a cryptid, though. He was invented by a horror writer. Cryptids have had reported sightings and evidence of their existence, but could easily be hoaxes, delusion, or known animals that have been mistaken for for something else. The kongamato (a bird that appears in south-central African folklore; natives who are shown drawings of pterosaurs claim them to be the kongamato) and gray aliens are perhaps better examples than Slendy (as much as I love him).[/nitpick]
