Interesting little details in 2.XX

Ive spent a couple hours over the last 2 days reading this thread closely. I thought I had payed attention when I watched 2.22, and after what ive seen here I realize i was mistaken

There seems to be an oversight with the tape player in 2.22, or I'm just misinformed... Two tape players back to back in the movie, the first one when Rei pulls it from the trash then immediately after when Shinji is leaving Misato's apartment she offers him the same thing saying "You almost forgot this". The only reasonable explanation could be that the tape player Misato has is some kind of aftermarket player for the voice messenger. But that seems unlikely, especially from what she says to Shinji in that scene.

I was wondering about these:

the spear shown on the moon - is it the one shown in Lillith in 1.0, or do they have both spears in this continuity?

The giant on the moon that has lilliths mask - I noticed in 1.0 it has an IV like apparatus that says "BTB" - i thought maybe it was Adam's equivalent to LCL.

WHAT WAS IN THE 4 COFFINS THAT WERE ALREADY OPENED???????

I think the bit about Ritsuko saying that she gained weight implies that she does not have a relationship with Gendo. I noticed that during the scene where Rei is in the dummy plug tank - in the show Ritsuko was also present and responded with a jealous look when Gendo asked Rei to go eat, but she was absent from the scene in the film. The films are already stretched for time, so to pass on 2 instances of possible set up for the Ritsuko-Gendo relationship would seem to indicate that no such relationship is taking place.

Another reason i just caught as to why the coffins couldnt be the angels - while we have only seen 4 at the end of 1.1 they still refer to some the other angels by numbers - though they are different from the show the go higher than 4. For example when it show the projections of ramiels drilling it has the text "angel 6 simulation", even though ramiel was #5 in the show.

I like the idea that they were holding the children, i hadn't considered that one.

Also i can confirm that there are 2 spears in the movie, it shows the spear still in lillith's chest during the fight with Zeruel, meaning the one on the moon (and thrown by Kaworu) has to be a different one.

When evangelion 2.22 show the short clip of second impact there was 4 lances and there were 4 giants

Seems as though you can't see the blood streak from Earth. I don't recall anytime in 2.22 you could see the blood streak from the Earth's surface. All I remember are shots taking place on the moon's surface that revealed the blood streak. (I could be wrong, though. 'm taking a break from Break, and haven't seen it in a while.)

well, I also doubt, that you can see the blood streak, because for that it is to thin/small...

I would also agree that it would be impossible to see the blood streak with an unaided eye, for example there are no known instances of anyone looking up at Tabgha base..if that were the case Gendo and Kozo could have just hijacked an observatory or spy satellite to look at Mk 6.

Would you say this was re-done as this?

Speaking of Asuka, does anyone think that the scene where Kaji harasses Shinji holds subtle reference to the 22' mind rape scene of Kaji (wearing what almost look like preacher robes ) abandoning Asuka and holding Shinji?

I don't think it holds much significance, but when I consider that both are twisted interpretations of a reality, I feel that either they deliberately made this allusion or they noticed the correlation at some point during animation.
