Child = Toji
Core can be prepared for him --> core is probably prepared at Nerv HQ and installed upon Eva's arrival

This is a small thing from the end of 1.11, right after Shinji opens Rei's entry plug the scene pans up to the moon and it isn't blood streaked, I just noticed this and I don't recall any other from Earth shots of the moon, so maybe this was just an over sight but right after this the scene goes to Kaworu waking up on the blood streak.

Different angle possibly?, and since the blood-on-the-moon thing hasn't fully been explained "yet", we kinda lack of information to even begin to think that the blood can be seen from earth.
It's too late to pry away.

The thing is, though, that the same side of the moon is always visible to Earth. So the side splattered by the Earth during 2I should be the same side we see all the time.

Correct me if im wrong but... when the 2I scenes show up they never actually say anything about blood being splattered over the moon, was this shown in an erased-storyboard sorta thing?.(Which by the way a lot of people don't take those in consideration, but who knows if they actually have something to do with final-work).

Well either 2I caused the blood to be on the moon, or it's always been there in this universe (lol segual), or somehow the Franco-American war went far far worse than we could possibly imagine. Quite frankly, in light of a lack of contradictory evidence, the fact that 2I caused the blood stain on the moon is a given, deleted scene or no. (And without anything contradicting the deleted scene, it's tantamount to canon anyway.)

The blood splatter on the side of the Moon facing Earth doesn't have to be big enough to be visible from the planet.

It would take one hell of a party to stain both sides of the moon with blood.

How can that be? Shouldn't the Moon be rotating?
"Let me make sure I'm understanding you correctly. You've read through this entire story so far. To recap, the story has featured Rei wondering if she has become a giant insect and considering wearing a Carmen Miranda hat, Kaji completely blowing off important duties, Shinji and Asuka blowing up a building downtown, Misato driving drunk and nearly killing Rei in a hit-and-run, Fuyutski fearing imminent death from a man dressed as a giant slice of pepperoni, Rei talking to a bagel, and Shinji and Asuka digging up an entire cemetery. And now it's character derailment. Okay."-Esselfortium

I've just realised something: Mari calls Shinji "NERV's puppy" when they first meet. When Asuka first meets Shinji in NGE, she calls him a "puppy" too.

And speaking of mari, I didnt realise until the dub that she was speaking to Kaji before the Tunniel battle. Given that Kaji's next lines were the 'Gu'run' engrish bit you hadnt blame me for my mistake :p

Actually surprised that no-ones tabled the notion that its Mari who has a crush on Kaji in rebuild. Its not particularly evident from 2.0 but will didnt learn much about Mari generally.

Interesting.

I don't know if this is a correlation, but Mari's inflection of "It's good to be alive," after Tunniel struck me as remarkably similar to Asuka "I don't want to die," at the bottom of the lake in EoE.

Not in the Japanese version, she doesn't.

That isn't to say that there is no prior association of Shinji with dogs before, though. See the TV soap playing in the background during the ep08 scene where Kaji and Asuka have lunch with Misato et al.

I hear her call him "NERVling".
Please just call me Ian, "TheFrisky" is more of a title.

In Japanese, it's "Nerv no wanko-kun" (Nerv puppy-kun).
