I'm making another attempt to write a fanfic but i need to know Fuyutski's age first. Its a crossover between EVA and Stargate SG-1 if you wanted to know.

I beleive he was in his early fifties

ok then, i guess ill have to modify it to Keel, no prob, it fits better anyway.

His birthdate is something like 9-May-57 (maybe the 19th; certainly spring '57). That makes him just a few months older than me, and 58 during the show (assumed to start mid '15).

I don't recall which original site I got the date from (it may have been from some FAQ such as the one at http://kaworu.bishounen.nu/isite-cache/filer/69/eva_faq.txt ), but wherever it was, the year was one that for obvious reasons caught my eye; April 9th is a given - the usual algorithm applies : from the Japan.Anime.Evangelion FAQ :-

Fuyutsuki Kouzou: April, 9th - Kiyokawa Motomu: April, 9th.

Googling on "April Fuyutsuki", and checking the first few references which give an age or a date the consensus is either "age 58" or born 1957; though there is one 1956.

EDIT - fixed link. That FAQ also has the 2001 date for the pilots' birthdates.

If only these varied websites provided the source where they found this stuff, we could check its canonicity... Or maybe it's in one of the books I have and I'm just not paying enough attention.

When working on the "Personnel" listings of the EVA manga, I was unable to find any quasi-official reference for Fuyutsuki's age--which, of course, doesn't mean there isn't one out there.

I had thought that I might be the oldest person on this board, but I am glad to have the benefit of your greater experience present.

Wik says half of the time (baka edit war) that Fuyutsuki's birthday is April 57' while Gendo's is 67'.

Im sorry I have to comment on this but do you base your life of Wikipedia most of the time they are wrong, there is soooooooo much incorrect info on wiki that it scares me.

Most sources give their ages as 58 and 48 respectively, so do the math... Of course there is the little issue of when in 2015, and whetehr western or traditional Japanese systems for reckoning dates are used.

People have once tried this, but it got changed back to the incorrect info.

It would seem that Editing Wikipedia is futile.

Manga lists Fuyutsuki as "about 60" whilst Gendo is listed as 48.

Looked at the Proposal for the hell of it... Gendo is 48 there, but Kozo is -- wait for it -- 45! Man, talk about evolutionary leaps. Too bad there's no concept art for proto-Fuyutsuki.
