Well, I went and saw it. Like Iron Man, it's style far over substance, but unlike Iron Man, the style was actually entertaining. Thor himself is pretty fun, Loki is great, the Bifrost looked pretty cool, and the obligatory normal side characters did obligatory normal side character things with a bit more verve than usual, mostly due to Stellan Skarsgard. I feel like it wouldn't stand up too well on small-screen, however. Also, The Avengers is going to need some really heavy powerlevel wank to make Thor less OP compared to everyone else except the Hulk.
