Time to bump up K-On thread again because another recent collaboration event just showed how devoted K-On fans are:

Project name: K-On!! x A-Den!!

A-Den is Eiden which is short form for Eizan Dentetsu which runs train service from Kyoto to Mount Hiei to the north east.

As many of you already know, Kyoto is the presumed location of K-On simply by the benefit of having many of the locales in the anime taken in Kyoto and Toyosato which is a suburb town not far from Kyoto. And after the local train station of Toyosato assuming K-On design for its station logo and various collaboration projects in Kyoto, the latest collaboration offer came from Eidan.

The result was a set of 5 tickets of Eiden, with one character of the K-On five on each pass and 1 one-day pass with all 5 members on it. The shape of the 5 tickets follows that of the music instrument played by the character. Each set costs 2500 yen.






It was an one-day event to be held outside the Demachiyanagi station (located in north east section of Kyoto) on Jun 12th. Only 6000 sets of pass were to be sold on the day, starting from 6am.

By 8:45am Eidan announced (via twitter etc) that all 6000 sets were sold out!

Length: 215 min + 50 min extra (rehearsal, interview, back-stage)

Really, 2ch also discussed such possibilities but at the end most prefer to keep the slice-of-life comedy with all female cast. I mean, it is not really that rare. Most of my classmates in my high school did not date at all in their high school years, and my high school was a co-ed school. Many of them did not really find a long term date in their college years and those in K-On even went to all female college. Boyfriend/girlfriend is really not that indispensable, weird though it may sound for people in the west.
