[s:1w5kjxjt]I might be able to show up for the Anime Boston.. If I do, I'll be that guy with the Black Fedora (and maybe a Black Trenchcoat, depends what I want for my birthday, which is TOMORROW! Sorry, I over-hype about useless wank-stains like that).[/s:1w5kjxjt]

As an update:

Join me for Anime Boston, April 22-24 in Boston, MA.

http://www.animeboston.com/

I will be hosting the following panel:

Evangelion Is Serious Business (Friday, 5-6 pm in Panel A)
The Evangelion Omake Box (Saturday, 4-5 pm in Hynes-Panel 306)

Private Message me if you plan to attend the convention and would like to meet up.

I'm excited, I'm going to be a featured panelist. That should be fun.

Good luck then. Don't mess up in the middle of your NGE sermon. :toothy:

Maya: That's strange. The target's identification signal is turning into Zerogouki's!

Do you think you'll get some of the VAs into your panel? Have you done that before? Someone should video these panels, and link it here. As long as it's cool with Monkey.

And as long as I'm here, and I'm sure you'll read this: EvaMonkey, bless you for linking the "WE ARE (NOT) ALONE" album on your website a few months back.

No. They're usually too busy, and whenever you have a VA, it devolves from a panel about a subject, into a panel about dubbing. It just doesn't work. Besides, I have an hour of content prepared. A copanelist would just slow me down. =P

View Original Postflapjack wrote:Have you done that before?

I have, it was less than successful.

View Original Postflapjack wrote:Someone should video these panels, and link it here. As long as it's cool with Monkey.

I don't have a video camera, and I have no intention of video taping. I will however be recording the audio for archival purposes and self critique. If I like it enough, I might screen cap the slides and combine the two. But that's speculative. I believe that panels are things that should happen at conventions, not on YouTube. Putting panels on YouTube in many ways cheapens the experience and makes it disposable.

You are quite welcome. Be sure to subscribe to the site, I have some other interesting items backlogged, and I'll be sure to have a convention report from Anime Boston next week.

Finished with all of my Anime Boston panels. Both Evangelion panels went really well. I kicked the shit out of this con.

In other news, Rudy was too sick with pneumonia to make it. One of his "men" is however here, and is reading his presentation for him. I went to the first one, and it was like a history textbook vomited all over Evangelion. I honestly have no idea what I sat through. I think it had something to do with the Japanese Liberal Democratic Party.

And apparently Rudy is boasting that his website will have big Live Action Evangelion news in May. Uhm. Whut? Did I miss something while I've been away? I know there's the Khara feature in Newtype. Has there been some other thing that has been mentioned? Because I was fairly certain that LAEM was finally dead.

I think he's losing his battle with pneumonia. Or insanity. . .

Maybe he's about to pull himself up by his V-straps and take a whack at it himself.

Probably just Greenfield saying "it's all coming together, there's a whole bunch of interested parties" just like he said the first time I saw him 3 years ago. People asked him 4 Eva questions and he managed not to answer any of them.

Also, FYI, the guy reading Rudy's presentations for him called and canceled his panel 5 minutes after it started.

Lame. Great way to get put onto a con's shit list.

I see panel titles resembling ones you've done on the Colossalcon schedule. I hope that means you're going to be there.

Man, that sucks. I've always wanted to go to Otakon, but it costs a whole lot, plus I'm scared of downtown Baltimore. They'd have to get someone like Aya Hirano to get me there.

Cost is a huge factor, for sure. But you shouldn't be scared of downtown Baltimore, it's not worth the anxiety.

It might be too late to start planning, hotels are probably all booked up. Maybe next year?
