I don't know how wise it is to be buying a psp for the sole purpose of playing eva2 as it probably won't be very import friendly and even less likely to be released outside of Japan.

Import friendly? Games are not based on region!! Meaning you CAN play original Japanese games on your European/US PSP!!

Different story for movies, though...

By import freindly i mean that this will be a very text heavy game, and difficult to enjoy or even play without any understanding of Japanese. in contrast there are many Japanese games which are import friendly, and may even have most of the menus in english such as games like bleach and ridge racers.

I'd reccomend Gulty Gear X2 also as a good PSP import.
