When the animators realize of the mistake, the hadn't time to fix it, so they made up that answer that Ritsuko gave to give an explination to that.

Oh... well if they wanted to they could of just erased that scene so I guess it wasn't really a mistake after all.

Yeah!, but that scene of the empty plugsuit inside the entry plug its' too cool to erase !! haha :wink:

Maybe they realize the mistake when they did the recording of the voices.

Well the series seems like it is very deliberate and convoluted so I don't think that anything in the series is there simply because "it's an anime" but then again...it is just an anime.

The funny thing is, if they hadn't made Ritsuko mention his plugsuit, I doubt anyone would have noticed. It sort of says, "LOOK AT HOW WE COVER OUR SCREW UP!"

they at least kept with it if it was a screw up...ego borderlines where mentioned in EoE...

Well, the Ego Borderline thing is cool, and pretty sound as far as fiction goes. But saying that it formed a plugsuit; that identifies a mitake. The Borderline thing would probably have been in there anyway; it's the cornerstone of Third Impact.
