I'm still not sure if they kill Asuka or not. They don't show her die, and they don't show the entry plug either.

Well, her eye was only stabbed out, and her arm was only sliced in half.

I think it'd be a smart assumption to think she died.

What about her 12000 plates of fortified armour?

I'd like to think that if a crater was left after the explosion, that an Eva could have atleast(partially) survived, no?

Considering that the Ryousanki had just ripped almost all of that armour off so they could get at the juicey goodeness inside, I don't think that they would give much protection.

She was also jabbed with the 9 Ronginus no Yari clones through her abodmen.
That must've hurt like hell, but she probably didn't feel that.
Seeing has how her arm was split in 2 already.
Sucks...
