I was excpecting a hord of new people once the series started on AS. Im just juding the amount of people coming our way thats all.

Well, the series has just started running on Adult Swim, excpect a horde or newbies shouting, "Wht r thaa last 2 epsodes 'bot? m'ky?"

Well, that means brace your self in twelve weeks or so. <.< >.>

I don't expect to see much of an influx from Eva's initial episodes. I might see a bunch of new members when the thinpak comes out, and then near when Eva gets towards the later episodes on AS.

Lately we have been getting more members that are active but not a great proportion of the member base is actually posting.

Yeah, but that's true of almost any forum.

I first saw Evangelion about 6 years ago, in '99. Love at first site... But it seems like I picked an inopportune time to join the board, huh? I, too, expect an unfortunate surge of attention to Evangelion that I hope blows over quickly. I don't mind Eva getting exposure, but I can't help but feel afraid that it will be bastardized by Adult Swim or a bunch of emo, anime idiots will get into the show.
The only good I can see coming of it is the (extremely unlikely) release of some Eva games in the States... I love my imports, but what with my whole inability to understand Japanese and all... Speaking of which, if there's anything I can contribute, let me know.

I didn't join any Eva forums until I finished watching the Perfect Collection series. I don't expect too many new 'Swim members until Rei's character develops a little more and Asuka enters the picture.

Once again, that's true of almost any forum. This forum averages 66 posts per day. Quite commendable if you ask me. Especially for a forum with such a segmented interest.

And it seems like there hasn't been too much trouble with forum rules and the division of topics, at least not yet. It was propitious that the Offtopic forum was created when it was -- I think it helps continue a core community on the board when there isn't much to say in the Eva forums.
