It looks to be Japan only. From the digging I have done, the only thing that makes it Eva specific is the inlcusion of the tracks. I wish I could read the page on the specs but I found something else about the player here...

The fact that you get all the music is nice because the price doesn't really change. I want to confirm language (which says 7 of them are supported) as well as photo viewing on the device. There are conflicting posts about it. I wish it could output the photos to a TV like the iPod photo edition.

I don't see anything else out of the ordinary though. I think they will offer other colors other than Red and White (I think gray or black will also be offered).

I would get it just so I officially have all the music. I am still waiting to find out more about the functionality of the player. The screen is gorgeous but if I can't view photos on it, it might be more useless. It would have been nice if it could play videos which reports initially say no. That would be a waste of a nice screen.
