Browncoats unite and save this thread! Honestly I'm surprised no one else had mentioned it yet. If you have not seen Firefly yet, you must watch it NAO!

This finally came up on my rental queue. I just watched the first episode and it blew me away.
If the series keeps up like this, it will definitely become my favorite of all time.

Twin Peaks (The owls are not what they seem.)

The Prisoner (Who is number one? You are number six.
SPOILER: Show
Or is it "You are, number Six."?
)

Secret Agent/Danger Man (Greatest spy series in history; much better than Man from Uncle or I Spy, though those are good too.)

The Fugitive (the original, not that new one)

The Avengers (Emma Peel is so hot!)

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (for nostalgia value, it's much better than Lost in space, where I only like the first season.)

Columbo (Just one more thing.....)
Rejoice, glory is ours. Our young men have not died in vain. Their graves need no flowers. The tapes have recorded their names.
I am all there is.
Negative! Primative! Limited! I let you live.
But I gave you life.

I'll start by listing Community, the best sitcom I've watched in years, and also The Big Bang Theory, not as funny, but relatable with my inner geek.

Also Lost, did anyone feel as trolled as me for watching that show to the end?

From what I remember of it, Oz is the best thing American TV has ever had to offer. That TV show made me pick this nickname originally. Battlestar Galactica was quite good as well. Lost was too much LOLMYSTARIES that in the end I didn't care about them and instead got a pleasant character-centric ending. Other than that I haven't watched non-anime TV shows in a long time, but I've seen a couple of episodes of The Big Bang Theory and I find it hilarious - although the humor relies completely on Sheldon's quirky antics.

"No you wouldn't. Oz's secret is he goes without food to buy that stuff. He hasn't eaten in years." - Brikhaus

"Often I get the feeling that deep down, your little girl is struggling with your embrace of filmfaggotry and your loldeep fixations, and the conflict that arises from such a contradiction is embodied pretty well in Kureha's character. But obviously it's not any sort of internal conflict that makes the analogy work. It's the pigtails." - Merridian
"Oh, Oz, I fear I'm losing my filmfag to the depths of Japanese pop. If only there were more films with Japanese girls in glow-in-the-dark costumes you'd be the David Bordwell of that genre." - Jimbo
"Oz, I think we need to stage an intervention and force you to watch some movies that aren't made in Japan." - Trajan

A recent show I watched lately was The Walking Dead, 1st season was way too short and not very good, however the special effects were pretty nice.

As far as animated series go my favorite is definetely Family Guy, with Garfield being one of my favorites as a child.

And in the Anime department I'm kind of lackluster, the only one that's ever truly captivated me was Eva. I was encouraged to watch Elfen Lied and Serial Experiments Lain after that, but I didn't enjoy them nearly as much.

Arrested Development is easily number one.

I'm also fond of Louie, Daria and The Office, both American and British versions. Chappelle's Show was great while it lasted.

I don't really watch a lot of TV because I can't stand most of it.

:resurrect: Raising the dead again.

I'm a TV watcher and I want to share some of my guilty pleasures. Hopefully others will share theirs. For me, it depends on the day and what mood I'm in. I prefer the more serious detective/FBI based shows. I just gets cheesy when too much comedy is added in. So, here ya go.

Current Shows

Serious/ Drama
The Killing
Criminal Minds
Longmire
The Dome
The Following

Comedy
Family Guy
South Park
Robot Chicken

My Chick shows
House Hunters
Downton Abby(when I can catch it)
Almost everything on the ID Channel
Chopped and almost everything on Food Network or The Cooking Channel
My Cat from Hell ( I don't even have a Cat, but I love watching this guy)
Say Yes to the Dress and Found the Gown( I'm a chick and need to keep the dream alive)

Old but goodies( I rewatch these every once in a while)
X Files
Fringe
Moonlight
Cold Case

Reading my previous posts in this page I realize what a simpleton I was two years ago.

I don't feel like making a list of shows I like so it'll be just the one:

Veep. Funny as hell.

Out of what's currently running my favorites are Parks and Recreation, Breaking Bad, Arrested Development, Community and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I also like Game of Thrones, but my enjoyment of that one is diminished somewhat by my constantly comparing it to the book series.

As for older shows I dig The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Cowboy Bebop and (CONTROVERSY ALERT) Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Writing all that just now, I am struck by just how few of these shows I actually watched on a television.

Oh, wow. When I posted in this thread, I had yet to discover Parks & Recreation.

Parks & Recreation is amazing and I want to marry April Ludgate.

I started watching The X-Files again, I've got Seasons 3-5 already. Are there any other seasons that you guys would recommend watching? I heard 3-4 were the best seasons, although I might be interested in watching the first season.

You skipped over the first two seasons? No no....you definitly have to watch those. Remember the big part of x files is the mythology, which is the alien storyline. That starts in the first two seasons. Personally, I think they are the best and the creepiest. ^_^
