When they ran out of Asuka, they used Mari and Mana and Mayumi. They were magnificent. I only hope, that when it is my time, I may die with half as much dignity as I saw in their eyes at the end. They did this for two years. They never ran out of courage. But in the end…they ran out of bonus figurines.

that is wrong yet AWESOME, being that Hollywood has way too much influence on film worldwide yet at least Eva 2.0 is hot somewhere in the world

Hate to burst everyone's bubble BUT Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen (pure shit movie by the way) was in it's second week of release AND on if you were to go by first week grosses Trans2 beat Eva 2.0

In it's opening weekend Trans 2 made equivalent to $5.88 million. Eva 2.0 in it's opening weekend made equivalent to $5.37 million.

Although in a way it's still really a victory for Eva cause it was released on about 1/5 as many screens as Trans2.

And Evangelion Live Action is still a soulless, retarded all "About the Benjamins" bad idea.

Because after the midnight screening? I go out to the parking lot and a bunch of gangbangers (I think Crips, since they're dominant in my city ATM) are parked in a circle, and two of them are fighting in the middle, and everyone is screaming "GIVE ME YOUR FACE!"

You know, like Optimus Prime does to the Fallen.

So yes. Please. Defend this useless film. Justify seven-ten minutes of decent mecha combat in a film that's nearly three hours long. Defend a film that formed a rapport between a slightly sinister Optimus Prime and my city's nascent gangheads. This should be FUN.
