Evangelion 1.0 TV Version? [Revised 2.0 Preview]

So what do you think? Complete Bullshit like just featuring a new fancy 2.0 preview at the end? Absolute utter bullshit like framing the film to be in the old TV format? A neat little treat like attaching a newly animated version of the "Cruel Angel's Thesis" OP? Or even go so far as to make a 1.111 with a scene or two hinting at stuff that came in 2.0?

The plot thickens.

I do hope for the new intro, I loved the old one with all my heart.

They'll change Gendo's count from "8" to "5" so they won't need any more Angels in 3.0/Final, and that will be the only change. :P

I would guess they'd do something "similar" to the old TV series, at most I could see them debut an updated version of Cruel Angel's Thesis as an alternate OP

I can't imagine they'd go as far to slip an entire new scene or two, I would think for reasons they'd leave that for a DVD or even (*gasp*) whenever Khara gets around to do the Bluray version

maybe there could be a special preview for 3.0/4.0 after the end credits, who knows?

Maybe for shnits and giggles they'll just insert all the old NGE animation. Any shot that isn't completely original from the film will just feature good ole 1995 animation.

Watch the only change be it being cropped full frame.

I just checked the TV listings here, it's on NTV from 9-11pm, a 2 hour block. I doubt Khara is making much money from it, if any at all, considering NTV was one of the sponsors to get the film made in the first place. Plus NTV sells Eva merchandise on it's website. It saying that it's unedited makes me believe it's the extra stuff that was removed from the final cut of 1.0 in the theaters, whatever that is.

the fact that theres another version is what i'm getting pissed for. Even if they add 30 minutes of epicness or whatever it doesnt excuse the fact that they just released an extended cut version a few weeks ago and got plenty of peoples money for what they thought was the finalized version.

I'm really just putting my belief on them reanimated the OP (with a few cute inserts like Mari and Eyepatch Asuka).

I'm not really expecting too much. Time and time again these guys have proven they'll sell the most minute details like they're a big F'ing deal.

A 2 hour block of TV? Perhaps the only thing that would blow my mind is if they actually reanimated ALL the first 6 episodes of NGE. Every little bit. But that's just impractical.

So yeah. I'm thinking new flashy OP.

(That or they'll go really cheap and when Gendo is talking about Unit 02 with SEELE they insert a flash image of Asuka & Unit 02...that's it)

showing it on tv is perfectly fine, adding stuff that wasnt on the dvds they just released is not

Khara was strongly affected my Billy Mays's death that they had to go all, "BUT WAIT, THERE'S MOAR!" on our Rebuild.
