[LAEM] The only way to go is Japanese indie film
It'll stay truer to the story line, and it will have a more intense character development.

Two words: Gundam Saviour.
Sorry, but no, and you're kidding yourself if you think this will lead to "more character development" then if WETA is left to handle it.
The Japanese are just as willing to screw their crap up as Hollywood is in adapting American novels.
Furthermore, Hideaki Anno has already given his approval, so this is moot.

Laughs!
Yeah if you want a live action Eva that looks like utter shit. They do not have the life action capabilities to make Live Action Eva anything more than Evas in suits or really cheesy CG effect.
Actually, the only way to go is Japanese ANIMATION.
But I guess we can't seem to settle for that....

But Reichu, you do not have creative input on the live action project Thank God..., thus, whether it goes through is not up to you nor anyone else here for that matter. For this project, indeed, we will have to settle for it being in Live Action (and I for one will do so gladly).

I'm not picky. I don't care if it's "Evangelion for dummies" as long as its enjoyable. I think fans need to get over this false sense of entitlement about how "hardcore" or "accurate" something is and simply evaluate it based on whether it's good or bad.

Which fans are those? Any in this thread?
I was just sardonically responding to G'sPapa's generalized "we". "We can't seem to settle for that"; "I can".
Anyway, this LAEM thread doesn't seem to have much point other than to replicate and scatter the discussion further.
