Can you imagine the wonderful things that could be accomplished with all of the money that gets spent on crappy movies?

Yeah I know its such a waste, in a sane movie industry we would not be seeing movies like "Shark boy and lava girl" who the hell thought that movie was a good idea?

What really depresses me is the way that vast amounts of money gets thrown into mass-produced garbage, while so many of the things that will really matter years down the road cling to survival due to lack of funding and disinterest (or, sometimes, overexploitation and apathy). Western civilization focuses on the NOW -- what will yield results FASTEST, what will produce the most instant gratification. Amidst the toxic green vapor of dollar signs, only a scant few can see through to the future -- those for whom the meaning of "sustainability" resonates true.

Hmm... yeah. Don't spend your hard-earned money on crap. Download it illegally on the Internet instead.

Save your $$$ for the good stuff. Like NGE. (Crappy merchandise nonwithstanding.)

Why Robert Rodriguez? Why?! You made Sin City! Why are you going back to this garbage?!

And not just with kid movies either recently there was some horror movie I forget the name of where the tooth fairy was the villain and also the boogy man!. Also I think the dude from Haloween and Freddy Kruger are the only iconic horror movie villains who havent gone to space yet. Why are Pinhead, the leprachan , Jason and who knows who else all ending up in space? And then after they end up in space they either end up going to the hood or fighting Freddy for some reason.

from what i have seen, with many horror movies, they just move on to make another one and another one, and another... (sequel after sequel)

AHAHA! Oh man, I remembered when I payed $7.50 to go see Jason X in theatres with my friends. We turned it into our own MST3K. I also remember seeing Leprechuan in the Hood at Blockbuster. Just seeing it made me laugh. It seemed too absurd to exist, like the Hummer H2.

On a side note, I sat down and watched a vintage episode of the Power Rangers on tv to day. It was bad...really bad...

Silent Hill we be a great movie seeing as they got the guy who directed the games to be the director, or something rather.

Whether it suffers from the PR syndrome will depend on the director.
