3 movies would be good... every Eva episode takes about 30 min (even less) there are 24 episodes (that's 720 min) including a movie of about 90 min... that 810 min... devided by 3 makes 270 min per movie... that's 4,5 hours long... many shots from the series can be cut shorter (Shinji's decision about killing Kaworu for example and the elevator scene with Rei and Asuka) cutting each movie to about 3 hours is absolutely possible to exlain almost everything that's important to the series and story.

sorry for the double post...

And BTW...

about the age of the actors that would play the Children... how the F*ck is that a problem? You have any idea what make up can do to a face?

Live Action Eva COULD be a good movie... but only if it will be made into three movies with a very good (art) director and script. Good acting is also a MUST in an Eva movie.

I am strongly of the opinion that, similar to the Rebuild films, Live Action Eva should not be a trilogy but at least 4 films....further, I have hope that Harry Potter has demonstrated to people that a single "story" doesn't always fit the "Beginning, Middle, End" Act cycle that's been drilled into use since the days of Aeschylus

With regard to Rebuild: If two of its sections are half-length and shown back-to-back in the theater, calling them two separate "films" is generally misleading. But, whatever you want to call them, you still end up with three films' worth of playtime altogether -- so, with regard to your LAEM spiel, you're exactly back where you started.
