I'll defer to the opinions of more learned members on this particular topic. Drinian and Ornette's synopsis have persuaded me. I have no objections to a license switch, other than to the potential bother, which I think is minimal. I will only say that I did not initially choose the GFDL directly. It was chosen via a list of questions that I was asked during the Mediawiki installation, which escape me at the moment.
So, I have no objections, and all my edits will be considered under the new licence if and/or when it is/was changed.
As to the potential of content being "taken" or more likely, "forked", that's simply the game we play on the internet has a whole and on wiki's in particular. If anything, it will encourage us to make the wiki good enough so that people won't fork it.
