The plot makes no sense, that's for sure.

Currently rewatching Blue Drop and trying to work up the willpower to start various Nanoha stuffs.

I didn't stick with Mnemosyne for more than the first episode, so I couldn't tell if it had a plot. No, it committed the cardinal sin of being boring.

Despite the name, it's only a Magical Girl anime for the first three episodes of the first series (and even then it subverts genre clichés at every turn). That's really the only hump you have to get over.

Then it becomes great. Then it becomes awesome at episode 7. Then it becomes legendary from the start of the second season. By this stage, willpower is required to stop yourself from pulling a marathon.

Third season reboots things (less action, more focus on even more new characters), so treat it as a separate series.

Which reminds me. I really need to get my ass in gear and do some more Magical Lyrical Evangelion -- I have it plotted out through NGE episode 10 equivalent, just need to sit down and fill out the details.

I'm attempting to watch Tenga Toppen Gurren Lagann at the moment.

Only mustered up the strength to watch the first episode so far. It seems rather cliched at the moment, but I am enjoying Yoko's deliciously oversized breasts.

Also: BrikHaus's whole "GIGA DRILL BREAK" somethingsomething joke suddenly became 53% more amusing.

All the right letters, but not necessarily in the right order. Using the sub-title When they cry may make it a simpler task.

God, Apparently you all have been discussing Q since November. Catching up on the discussion is harrowing.

It lives in the same sort of space as Mushishi, and to some extent, Shigofumi. One 2-parter aside, each episode is self-contained, as Kino visits a different country and finds out about its local idiosyncrasy.

Like TriLink, I recently gave Gurren Lagann a spin. "Overwhelming social pressures", but, more importantly, I wanted to know what this GIGA DRILL BREAK and WHO DO YOU THINK I AM stuff was all about. I wasn't too impressed with the first episode, either, but the IRC boys insisted that completion of the first arc was necessary, so... Of course, I fell prey to the Episode 8 Effect.

My sound card subsequently broke >_<, but all ended up well, because I managed to get my brother hooked, and we just sorta spent all of yesterday marathoning the remaining three arcs (on his computer). It was fun.

Awesomely Shitty

-the only English language novel actually being developed in parallel to its Japanese version involving a pan-human Soviet in a galactic struggle to survive and to export the communist utopia/revolution to all the down trodden alien class and race- one of the premise being that Khrushchev remains and has abandoned Lysenko stupidity

Aren't I lucky to have just finished Gurren-Lagann on my birthday, and come back here after the tragic death of my laptop's HD, when Reichu dishes out her latest avatar delight.

So now my anime diet consists on catching up on the never-ending amount of cross-dressing boys (Princess Princess), the moetopia of 2006 (Kanon), and various old school works (Yup, Sailor Moon has fallen into that category now.)
