No More Cover-Up?
So, I was thinking: was Second Impact ever actually covered up and explained as a meteor impact in this continuity? I don't think it was discussed in the classroom, as that whole section during which Shinji's professor was discussing it has now been taken out. Furthermore, the whole fake documentary film Shinji was watching is now gone. Finally, it'd be rather hard to explain the red water.
Thus, I'm assuming the truth about Second Impact is common knowledge in Weva or that the cover-up involves a giant meteor made out of Kool-Aid powder.

judging from the Second Impact explosion seen in trailers for Rebuild 2.0, I think we'll get a more thorough explanation of it next time.
Who is "Codename V"?....
I'm pleased to meet you and I hope you guessed my name, but what's puzzling you, is the nature of my game...so catch me if you can!! (0:50)

I suspect that was misdirection on the trailer's part

So you're saying they're abandoning the so-frequently-used element of parallelism?V wrote:Reichu wrote:V wrote:judging from the Second Impact explosion seen in trailers for Rebuild 2.0

If you "suspect" it, don't present it as a fact.
Also, people will start dying for nested quotes.

Considering that Maya sees the sea and calls it "the blood from Second Impact", the theory of red water before S.I. is discartable for me, at least.

Although: If the oceans were ALWAYS red, then the public would naturally think that they were supposed to be red. So thus 2nd Impact could still be covered up if *CENSORED TO HASTEN DVD RELEASE* is true.
