well, I'll do my best not to give anything away but...

there is a surprising amount of gore in key scenes, though it's not dwelt upon like a horror or even a war film, it's more of a now-you-see-it/now-you-don't, immediate though fleeting "shock" moments

also, Angelina Jolie (Grendel's mama), Ray Winstone (Beowulf), Anthony Hopkins (King Hrothgar) and a few others fully expose their arse as do a few others

and especially in the case of Jolie and Winstone, if it wasn't for what I think Roger Ebert called "Austinpowerism (convenient placings of things in scenes to obscure and hide certain anatomical regions)", you would have seen even MOAR exposed flesh (read lady nipples and both genders' genitals)

there were also quite a few not-so-subtle innuendos thrown about too
