i just got platinum 01 as it only just came out here, and its pretty good. i like the menus.

as for the seventh child, you really only have two options. return the dvd, or buy a cheap multizone player.
i'm pretty sure the type of trick monkey mentioned doesn't apply to ps2.

i'm not sure, but i think some modchips designed to enable playing copied games also have a multizone function. this option will probably be much more expensive than just buying a new player, and in many places illegal.

But... yeah, I would return it. Modding and hacking and buying special harware is such a hassle.

I think you can also buy a cheep "slide card". It is used to pull the disc tray out so you can put another in. you can use it to play burnt games, and dvd's form other regions. You might want to look into it, there about 20 bucks and come with the special dvd you need to use.

If you do some modifications to your system and the gameshark it will, but be warned there is more than one account out on the web of this totaly trashing a PS2 system. I lost a PS1 back in college because one of my friends messed around with our system, so it does happen. (worst yet I was really close to finishing FF7 when this happened  )

Well I just got Volume 4 in the mail and I have a bit of news that you may not know about. It seems that volume 4 has only 3 episodes on it. This confuses me a little. It seems that should have put at least 4 episodes on each disc. Does this mean that the director's cuts will NOT be alone on the last disc? This is the way I think they're putting the episodes on disc:

disc 4: 15, 16, 17
disc 5: 18, 19, 20
disc 6: 21, 22, 23, 21dc, 22dc, 23dc
disc 7: 24, 25, 26, 24dc

What do you all think?
